Connections - making Mold a people-centred place

Walking, cycling, public transport and car sharing can be viable and attractive ways of travelling, although initially they may take some effort to organise. The enquiry office in Mold bus station is a good place to start for information on how to travel locally in a more sustainable way.

But what about safe cycle routes from home to school, home to work, and home to the Town centre? Anyone who uses a bike in Mold will know that there are non and the roads are not geared up for cyclists. Cittaslow Mold would like to hear where you would like to see these linking routes, with this information we can work with Flintshire County Council, Sustrans and Taith to try and make Mold a more people-centred place.

Progress is being made on the North Wales coastal path with a new section opened at Talacre – although cycling to it from Mold isn’t easy!  The problems associated with car dependency on the environment, health and local communities are well known, it’s time to make sustainable choices www.flintshire.gov.uk  then select ‘transport and streets’
